Diva Challenge #252 ~ Tangle within a Tangle

This has been a rather restful week, with not too many major problems. I have actually spent time tangling. My hands were mostly cooperative and my family pretty much took care of themselves this week for a change. Anyway, I have started many Zentangles and ZIAs, but unfortunately not finished them all. But it's all good because it was relaxing for me.

The Diva's challenge for this week was to do a tangle within a tangle, and I had so many ideas running around in my head for this one. Unfortunately, I actually only finished 2 tiles completely. So here are this week's offerings.
Diva Challenge #252
Tangle within a Tangle
Media: 3.5" white tile, Black Micron pen, graphite pencil
Tangles: Purk and 2 others that I can't remember what they are,
inside of Narwhal

Diva Challenge #252
Tangle within a Tangle
Media: 4" square tile, Black Micron pen, graphite pen
Tangles: Luv-A, Pea-Nuckle, Printemps, Betweed,
Shattuck, and Bunzo inside of Abundies
This last one was actually the first one that I was working on. Arukas is one of my favorite tangles, but this one definitely went awry. Somehow my lines came out all wonky and quite frankly, it started making me dizzy to work on it. I really liked the jewel I tried in the center and will likely try this one again with a bit more mindfullness and watching what I am doing *grin*

Diva Challenge #252
Media: 3.5" white tile, Black Micron pen, Prismacolor
pencils and white Gelly Roll for jewel
Tangles: Hybrid, Shattuck, Stripes, Perf inside of
Arukas
I am trying to make an effort to do most challenges this year, so I hope to be back next week. For those seeing these challenges for the first time, take a look at the Diva's blog to see some fabulous artwork. Click here for her blog, and if you are so inclined, please join us. Any and all comments are most definitely appreciated. Have yourself a zen-ful day!

  2. My favorite is the first one, I find Narwal difficult but you have drawn it in a very original and nice way!

  3. Lovely work, I love the simplicity and composition in your Narwal, and the Abundies is lovely. So relate to the dizzies from Aruka's. Beautiful pastel gem.

  4. These are all very pleasing, even the last one you don't think you finished. I'm glad your hands and family are cooperating enough for you to be able to spend some time tangling.
